HHEWA came into existence in 2018 to promote the exports of Indian Handloom & Handicrafts products. The association is an advisory body to the Govt. of India for formulation of various policies, fiscal duties and schemes related to promotion of exports.
In recent years, Indian artisans have embraced eco-friendly materials, digital marketplaces, and global collaborations. From natural dyes in Gujarat to bamboo crafts in the Northeast, new trends are making traditional art more sustainable and market-ready.
